Study Information

Summary / Purpose

To demonstrate the adjunctive effectiveness and safety of the TIVUS system in subjects with hypertension (HTN) receiving up to 2 anti-hypertensive drugs of different classes.

Study Type: Interventional

Accepts Healthy Volunteers: No

Who Can Participate

Eligibility Criteria:

Adults 22-75 years of age
Documented history of hypertension
Previously or currently prescribed antihypertensive therapy
No type 1 diabetes mellitus
No medical implantable devices
Cannot be a night shift worker

What's Involved

Participation in the study will include:

A 1-hour procedure to place an ultrasound catheter in your kidney area to deliver ultrasound energy to the main arteries that supply blood to your left and right kidney
Attending regular check-up visits at the clinic to monitor progress
Taking blood pressure measurements at home
Sharing how you are feeling throughout the study
