Renown Health values strong relationships with our referring providers and partners. We are committed to working collaboratively to ensure patients receive timely, coordinated access to specialty care. Our physician relations team and referral resources are available to support your practice, answer questions and streamline the referral process.

The EpicCare Link portal facilitates secure communication between Renown Health and our providers. EpicCare Link is a secure web portal used to grant providers and their staff access to referrals, claims and enrollment information for their patients.

Renown Health accepts most insurances. Please note that many insurance networks operate under various names and agreements. Therefore, before scheduling your appointment or procedure, the best way to verify your insurance benefits with our providers is to call your insurance company and ask if they will cover the services you require and your patient responsibility fee obligation.

Our goal is to process and call your patient within three business days; however, times can vary based on specialty. If your patient hasn’t heard from us within seven business days, please have them call us to schedule. If you want to confirm that we received the referral, you can reach out to scheduling directly or reach out to Alex Waller, Director of Physician Relations and Referrals.

STAT Specialty Referrals:
Please fax the referral using your normal process. While we don’t have a dedicated fax line for STAT referrals, our team closely monitors the general fax line (775-982-8020).

If a referral needs to be escalated, you may contact the referrals team directly at referralsdepartments@renown.org.

STAT Imaging Orders (e.g., rule out DVT):
Please fax orders to 775-982-8037, which is monitored by our scheduling team Monday–Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. We make every effort to schedule the same day or next day, based on availability. While fax is preferred (as we cannot schedule without the order), you may also call if the patient is in the office, as long as the order is faxed during the call. Renown Health offers online scheduling for primary and pediatric care, mammograms, sports medicine, and labs. New patients can book as guests; returning patients can log in via MyChart.
