Study Information

Summary / Purpose

To find out if breast conservation surgery and endocrine therapy alone is as effective as adding radiation therapy in preventing breast cancer from coming back in the same breast.

Study Type: Interventional
Accepts Healthy Volunteers: No

Who Can Participate

Eligibility Criteria:
  • Adults 18+ years of age
  • Diagnosed with hormone-sensitive, HER2-negative Stage I breast cancer
  • Must have an Oncotype Recurrence Score of 18 or lower

What's Involved

Participation in the study will include:
  • Breast conservation surgery and endocrine therapy (tamoxifen, anastrozole, letrozole, or exemestane) with our without radiation
  • Monitoring for recurrence of breast cancer in the same breast
  • Blood and urine tests to monitor your health and treatment effects
  • Electrocardiogram (ECG) to monitor heart function
  • Questionnaires
