After giving birth, it's important to rest and bond with your baby. We put you and your baby first and ensure you receive all the care you need after pregnancy.

The Postpartum Care Team at Renown Women's Health team wants to help you smoothly transition home. Our skilled professionals support you in breastfeeding (if you choose to), help you heal from childbirth, and teach you how to care for your baby during your stay with us.

Why Postpartum Support Matters

  • Keeping moms safe: Regular checkups and learning what to watch for after birth can help prevent serious health problems like infections or high blood pressure. Most postpartum deaths can be prevented with early care.
  • Caring for mental health: Talking with a counselor, joining a support group, or working with a doula can help new parents feel less overwhelmed and reduce the risk of postpartum depression.
  • Helping with breastfeeding: Getting help from a lactation consultant (IBCLC) makes it more likely that parents will continue breastfeeding through the early months.
  • Fair care for every family: Doulas from local communities and care that respects your background can help more families get the support they need, especially in areas with fewer resources.
