Victoria Novoa, MD

Dr. Novoa specializes in complex gynecologic conditions, including endometriosis, fibroids, ovarian cysts, abnormal uterine bleeding, and chronic pelvic pain. She performs advanced laparoscopic and robotic procedures including hysterectomy, myomectomy (fibroid removal), ovarian cystectomy and surgery for endometriosis in addition to hysteroscopic procedures. This skilled approach can dramatically improve recovery time and minimize post-operative pain when compared to traditional open surgery. Originally from Brazil, Dr. Novoa earned her medical degree at Universidade Federal de São Paulo. Her academic and professional pursuits began with a dedicated research fellowship at the Mayo Clinic. She then completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center followed by fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at Henry Ford Health. Outside of work, Dr. Novoa enjoys hiking, swimming and spending time with her family.
