Heart disease is the leading cause of death in women. According to the American Heart Association, heart disease kills more women than all forms of cancer combined and yet only 44% of women recognize that cardiovascular disease is their greatest health threat.

Recognizing the urgent need for women's cardiac care, Renown Health established the Helaine Greenberg Women's Heart Center, the first of its kind in Nevada.

Women's Heart Center Services

By focusing on the prevention, early detection and effective management of heart disease, the Helaine Greenberg Women's Heart Center empowers women to take control of their cardiac health and lead fulfilling lives. We specialize in treating three serious cardiac conditions in women - high-risk pregnancy, breast cancer and heart attacks. Services include:

  • Comprehensive cardiac evaluation with a primary focus on prevention, encompassing the identification of at-risk patients, appropriate counseling and cardiac diagnostic testing.
  • Specialized treatments for patients at high risk of cardiac complications during pregnancy.
  • Tailored treatments for patients encountering cardiovascular complications associated with oncology and radiation treatments.
  • Advanced therapies for patients experience debilitating anginal symptoms, despite obtaining normal invasive tests for coronary artery disease.

Enhancing Heart Health For Women

A generous gift from local philanthropist Helaine Greenberg establishes the Helaine Greenberg Women’s Heart Center at Renown Health’s Heart & Vascular Institute. This first-of-its-kind center provides specialized heart care for women in northern Nevada.
