Why Choose Renown Vascular Medicine?
As the region's only integrated vascular medicine program, Renown Vascular Medicine offers a unique patient-centered approach to coordinating vascular care across cardiovascular specialties.
Our program is directed by Dr. Michael J. Bloch, MD, an internationally recognized leader in vascular medicine, hypertension, and clinical lipidology. He has been practicing in the Truckee Meadows for over 25 years and directing the Renown Vascular Medicine program for nearly 15 years.
In addition to exceptional providers, we have a dedicated support team of patient access representatives, medical assistants, and clinical pharmacists. Our Nurse Navigator, Britney Chonez, was recently recognized as the Outpatient Nurse of the Year in Northern Nevada for 2025–2026.
While most vascular centers focus on interventions, we recognize that the best intervention is prevention. We employ strict protocols to aggressively manage cardiovascular risk factors and maintain a robust imaging surveillance program to slow disease progression.
Renown is proud to hold certification as an American Heart Association Hypertension Center, recognizing our commitment to evidence-based treatment, patient education, and excellence in blood pressure management.
Our innovative Renal Denervation Program offers a minimally invasive treatment option for patients with uncontrolled hypertension that remains difficult to manage despite medications and lifestyle changes.
