

Renown Health has promoted Taralynn Bassham, MBA, RN, to Vice President of Operations for Renown Regional Medical Center, effective July 20, 2026.

Taralynn has served the health system for more than 14 years in progressive nursing and operational leadership roles. She most recently served as Director of Nursing for critical care, overseeing operations for three intensive care units and an intermediate care unit with 90 critical care beds, vascular access, dialysis services and more than 300 employees.
In her new role, Taralynn will oversee operations at Renown Regional Medical Center, focusing on operational excellence, patient safety, quality outcomes and the delivery of exceptional care.
"Taralynn has consistently demonstrated the ability to lead through change while improving quality, strengthening operations and supporting our healthcare professionals," said Amy McCombs, Chief Operations Officer, Renown Regional. "She brings a deep understanding of hospital operations and a steadfast commitment to our patients, making her the right leader to help guide Renown Regional Medical Center into the future."
During her tenure at Renown, Taralynn has led several initiatives that have expanded access to advanced care while improving operational performance. She helped launch Renown's ECMO program, supported the development of the health system's kidney transplant program and led the opening of the 34-bed Trauma Intensive Care Unit.

As Vice President of Operations, Taralynn will help lead strategic initiatives that improve operational performance, strengthen quality and safety, support caregivers, and ensure Renown Regional Medical Center continues to deliver exceptional care to the communities it serves.

Taralynn has a Master of Business Administration – Healthcare Management from Western Governor’s University. She serves on the board of Northern Nevada Nurse of Achievement and is a past treasurer of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses Great Basin Chapter. Her leadership has been recognized with several honors, including the 2024 Nevada Women's Fund Woman of Achievement Award and the 2025 Donation Champion of the Year Award from Nevada Donor Network.
