Summary / Purpose

To better understand how the location and features of a first local recurrence of retroperitoneal liposarcoma affect the risk of a second recurrence and long-term outcomes. The study also aims to identify new risk factors that could guide future treatment decisions.

Who Can Participate

Eligibility Criteria:

Adults 18+ years of age
Diagnosed with retroperitoneal liposarcoma
Must be planning to undergo surgery to remove the first local recurrence
Willing to have clinical data, imaging, and pathology samples collected

What's Involved

Participation in the study will include:

Surgery for retroperitoneal liposarcoma at a specialized center as part of standard care
Review of medical records from your surgery and follow-up care
Collection of data on tumor size, grade, recurrence location, treatment details, and outcomes
No additional visits, medications, or procedures are required
No questionnaires are given as part of this study
No direct patient contact is involved
