Summary / Purpose

To better understand how the location and features of a first local recurrence of retroperitoneal liposarcoma affect the risk of a second recurrence and long-term outcomes. The study also aims to identify new risk factors that could guide future treatment decisions.

Eligibility Criteria:
  • Adults 18+ years of age
  • Diagnosed with retroperitoneal liposarcoma
  • Must be planning to undergo surgery to remove the first local recurrence
  • Willing to have clinical data, imaging, and pathology samples collected

What's Involved

Participation in the study will include:
  • Surgery for retroperitoneal liposarcoma at a specialized center as part of standard care
  • Review of medical records from your surgery and follow-up care
  • Collection of data on tumor size, grade, recurrence location, treatment details, and outcomes
  • No additional visits, medications, or procedures are required
  • No questionnaires are given as part of this study
  • No direct patient contact is involved
