In their announcement, Becker’s highlighted that, “As a provider of neurosurgical and spine care, the Renown Institute for Neurosciences has established partnerships with physicians to offer comprehensive care throughout their 100,000 square mile region. The institute recently expanded its cranial neurosurgery program to offer patients functional neurosurgery options, including deep brain stimulation for Parkinson’s disease treatment, with plans to expand to surgical intervention for epilepsy patients. Advanced facilities include a new surgical trauma ICU with 34 private rooms and the region’s largest Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities-accredited rehabilitation hospital with 62 beds. Renown specializes in neurological rehabilitation with board-certified physicians in spinal cord injury medicine as well as traumatic brain injury. It houses an interventional pain management program and the area’s largest network of outpatient therapy clinics. A leader in pediatric orthopedic and scoliosis care, surgical specialists offer expert care for congenital deformities, limb deformities, hip disorders, clubfoot, neuromuscular disorders, sports injuries and complex spinal disorders.”
What the Renown Institute for Neurosciences Offers
Located in and operated in Renown Regional Medical Center, the Renown Institute for Neurosciences offers neurological treatments, emergency stroke care and more specialists than any other health network in the region. Key services include;
- Comprehensive Stroke Center: Provides emergency stroke care, including treatments like t-PA and biplane angiography
- Neurosurgery: Offers surgical and non-surgical treatment techniques for neurological conditions;
- Interventional Neuroradiology: Provides minimally invasive diagnostics and treatments for conditions like aneurysms and arteriovenous malformations;
