I'm neither a doctor or dentist. I did not then and do not now know how to describe my situation even though I have now seen a dentist. I think the people I interacted with (especially the receptionist and nurse practitioner) did a fantastic job in a situation where there was insufficient information available to them. The nurse practitioner in particular was trying to determine if I had an abscessed tooth. I was quite defensive of my face at the time because of pain. She did a great job and I would happily trust her again if I need urgent care again. As it turns out, according to the dentist I saw the day after my urgent care visit, I do have an abscess. Great work. Thank you to the lady that was my nurse practitioner for the guidance she gave me to seek a dentist immediately. I would not have sought dental help without her direction. The staff at the dental office told me my condition could have lead to my death in a worst case scenario if I had not sought help. Thank you for the help and guidance.
