Birth Support & Relaxation Strategies

Join our Birth Support & Relaxation Strategies class to explore effective ways to manage labor and birth more comfortably. This hands-on session is perfect for:

• Expecting parents
• Those seeking a refresher on labor coping techniques
• Partners/support people looking to be actively involved during labor

Whether it’s your first birth or not, this class provides useful tools and supportive strategies for a more confident and comfortable birth experience.

In this 2-hour class, you’ll learn:

• Relaxation and meditation practice
• Breathing techniques for labor
• Positions to support labor and birth
• How to use a birth ball, rebozo, and other tools
• Massage, counter-pressure, and acupressure
• Hands-on comfort measures
• Techniques for managing back labor
• Visualization, vocalizing, and movement

Come with your support person and learn how to work together as a team during labor.

No prior experience is necessary—just bring an open mind and a willingness to practice.

Please bring to class:

• 75 cm exercise/yoga ball ALREADY INFLATED
• Two bed pillows
• A mat or towel for breathing and relaxation practice

This class is also included as part of our 4-week Childbirth Series and the 1-day class. If you are already registered for any of the preparing for birth classes, you do not need to register for this class separately.
