Joining a nurse residency cohort offers valuable support and growth as you transition from a student to a professional nurse. This year-long program provides an individualized orientation with dedicated preceptors, specialty training, and a structured curriculum tailored to your unit—medical/surgical, progressive care, critical care, or specialty modules. Unit availability varies for each cohort. Under the Nurse Manager's guidance, you will deliver patient care using the nursing process and be accountable for patient outcomes.

Program Details:

  • 11-16 week orientation with a dedicated preceptor.
  • Didactic includes transition to practice, self-care, skills fairs, and EKG training.
  • Curriculum includes professional development, leadership and interprofessional communication.
  • Cohort hiring is offered multiple times yearly for local northern Nevada graduates and non-local graduates.

Requirements: Active Nevada RN license and AHA BLS is required upon hire.
