A Plan to Improve the Health of Our Community

Every three years, Renown Health conducts a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) to identify our community’s most significant health needs. The findings shape our Community Health Implementation Plan, which outlines how Renown and our community partners will work together, prioritize resources and invest to improve health across our region.

2026 Community Health Needs Assessment

Renown Health and Northern Nevada Public Health partnered to better understand the health needs of Washoe County through the 2026 Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA). Residents shared their experiences through surveys, focus groups, interviews and community conversations, providing insights that were combined with local health data to identify our community’s most significant health needs.

The 2026 CHNA provides a roadmap for improving community health and will guide future investments, partnerships and strategies across our region.

Looking Ahead

Renown will continue advancing our current community health priorities through December 31, 2026. Beginning January 1, 2027, our new priority areas and strategies will guide the next three years of work to improve health and well-being across our community.

Better Together Grants Program

Renown Health’s Better Together Community Benefit Grant Program, which was introduced in 2025, offers local organizations the opportunity to collaborate with Renown Health in addressing the region’s most pressing health challenges. The Better Together Community Grants Program provides funding opportunities for 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations, community groups, public agencies, health departments, school districts, and other government entities committed to addressing pressing community health issues across our region.

We are excited to share that the grant will open again for calendar year 2027, stay tuned for more information.
