Facilitated by a prostate cancer survivor, this no-cost support group is designed to help men cope with prostate cancer by offering education and support for patients during their cancer journey. Details: Both in-person and virtual groups are available.  Video-enabled attendance is available for all attendees.  Patients can access remotely and join from any video-enabled device (smartphone, iPad, laptop, or webcam/desktop).  Upon registering, you will receive instructions on how to connect virtually.  Groups will be held every first and third Monday of each month, from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. in the Sierra Tower – Conference Room 103 at Renown Regional Hospital.  Please note: You can renew registrations every calendar year. This 2-hour class helps prepare mom and partner on what to expect after birth and the weeks to follow, and is offered every other month and is open to mothers and their partners. Class fee includes partner. This class is designed for expectant parents to gain knowledge on current research and recommendations, which promote necessary infant health, wellness and safety. Parents-to-be will learn how to care for their newborn, including bathing, diapering, cord care, signs of illness, nutrition, feeding, infant safety, understanding newborn behavior along with growth and development. Led by Renown’s Bariatric Program Manager, this group connects you with peers and leaders so you can support, coach, encourage and lean on one another when you need it most. Whether you are facing post-surgery challenges or thinking about weight loss surgery and want to learn more about the client’s perspective or help reluctant family and friends better understand the process, attending this support group meeting can be invaluable. This support group is an excellent resource where you’ll find people who share your health and wellness goals. We are devoted to people with everyday experiences, sharing their feelings in a safe environment, and developing relationships that can contribute to improved physical and emotional health. We’ve found that our most successful clients attend support groups regularly. Would you please join us for Renown Health’s free one-hour virtual class for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) education? Our goal is to give you the knowledge to better manage your COPD by increasing your understanding of the disease process, medications and how to use them and creating an action plan you can use every day. This program is offered on the 4th Wednesday of each month and will meet from 3 to 4 p.m. Upon registering, you will receive instructions on virtually connecting 1 day before the class.
