MyChart MyChart is Renown Health's and Hometown Health’s secure online member portal that gives you direct access to your health and benefit information. From 24/7 access to your benefits and important documents to scheduling an appointment with your provider, this free tool is a great way to keep track of your family’s health. If you have a Renown primary care provider, you can use MyChart to: Securely email your healthcare provider. Get your test results faster and view your After Visit Summaries. Request prescription refills. Schedule and check-in for appointments. Pay your bill. Request your medical records and review immunization records. Manage designated health care agents and upload end-of-life documents, such as advance directives and a living will. View or download your documents: Member ID Card, Summary of Care, Explanation of Benefits, Referrals and Authorizations. Get in touch with our Customer Engagement Center. Telehealth Virtual visits have never been easier thanks to Renown Telehealth and Teladoc. These two tools are convenient options that allow members to be seen by a qualified doctor via phone or video chat who can diagnose, recommend treatment and prescribe medication for many non-emergent medical conditions – no matter where you are. Some of the health issues your virtual provider can treat include: Cold and flu Allergies Sore throat Sinus infection Respiratory infection Stomach bug Ear infection Urinary tract infection Both Renown Telehealth and Teladoc are also staffed with specialists in behavioral health, where you can speak with a therapist or psychiatrist on a wide variety of issues, including: Stress and anxiety Depression Trauma Grief Burnout Medication management Renown is also proud to offer access to top-level specialty care to address your ongoing condition and help guide you through illness maintenance and education. Teladoc dermatologists can treat conditions like acne, rosacea and rashes, while their registered dieticians can help you manage your nutrition and weight goals. A Family's Legacy
Dr. Derek Beenfeldt first joined the Renown family in 2014 as a family medicine physician after graduating from University of Nevada, Reno, School of Medicine (UNR Med) in 2011. His son Davis was only 10 years old when Dr. Beenfeldt decided to change careers and attend medical school. Ten years later, Davis is following in his dad’s footsteps as a third year student at UNR Med. “I am proud of Davis for taking on the challenges and the commitment that I know goes along with attending medical school,” Dr. Beenfeldt said. “I also feel lucky that we have a medical school with such a great reputation and resources close to home.” The affiliation is a great source of pride for Dr. Beenfeldt. Not just because two important organizations in his life are joining forces, but he also sees it as both entities taking on an immense responsibility – the challenge to be better for incoming students, and subsequently to improve healthcare in Nevada. Davis is currently going through his rotations and spending countless hours a week at Renown Regional. His dad is right there by his side supporting him along the way. “It has been really interesting to have discussions about the UNR medical school with Davis, I recognize the names of many of the professors and courses from when I was a student,” Dr. Beenfeldt said. “I tried to be empathetic, as I can relate to how difficult and stressful this time is for him. Dr. Beenfeldt currently works as chief medical officer for Renown’s insurance arm Hometown Health, and Davis is still browsing specialties. “I don’t know what kind of medicine I want to focus on yet, but I feel lucky that I can attend medical school so close to home and have the option to continue helping my fellow Nevadans after I graduate.” UNR Med at a Glance UNR’s Medical School was established in 1969 Over the last 50 years, UNR Med has educated 3,900+ physicians More than 30% of UNR Med physician graduates continue to practice in Nevada UNR Med is the state’s oldest medical school

These are some of the comments made by patients regarding two Reno physicians lauded by Professional Research Consultants, a national firm that interviews patients following their physician and healthcare visits. The Excellence in Healthcare annual award honors physicians who demonstrate exceptional communications skills in their clinical practice, as awarded by their patients. Recipients of this award are ranked as Top Performers in the “Overall Doctor Rating” and rank in the 100th percentile nationally. Over 3 million patients responded to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CG-CAPHS) or Clinician and Group Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems patient experience survey in 2022. “We at Renown Health are so proud of Dr. Marie McCormack of Renown Medical Group and Dr. Daniel Spogen of University Health. She has cared for thousands of patients, from the smallest of babies to golden agers in northern Nevada for 15 years. Dr. McCormack graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine and completed her residency at the University of Kansas. She currently serves as Medical Director of the Primary Care Group for Renown Medical Group, overseeing primary care for 18 medical offices and more than 70 primary care providers for the largest not-for-profit healthcare network in Northern Nevada. She previously served as the Medical Director for the Rural Clinics seeing patients in Fernley, Fallon, Silver Springs, and Carson City. Dr. Spogen also served as former Chair, Department of Family Medicine at University of Nevada School of Medicine for over 16 years.
