The Healthy Nevada Project is a clinical study offering you, at no cost, the opportunity to learn about your ancestry, diet insights and genetic risks linked to heart disease and certain cancers, including prevention strategies.

Genetic Testing Options

There are two options for participating in genetic testing:

1. Schedule Appointment in MyChart

In MyChart, select Menu, then Schedule Appointment. Next, scroll down to Research Appointment – Genetic Screening to get started.

2. At-Home Test Kit

Prefer to participate from the comfort of your home? Read and sign the electronic consent form to get started. Once submitted, a DNA test kit from Helix will arrive in 1-2 weeks. Follow the instructions from Helix to register your kit, provide your saliva sample, then return it to Helix in the prepaid return box.
