Position Purpose
The Foundation Operations Specialist will manage and support the operational aspects of the Foundation. This role is crucial for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of donor data, conducting prospect research, and managing donor acknowledgment processes. This position is not a front-line fundraising role but supports the fundraising team through detailed research and data management.
Nature and Scope
This position requires high attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. It involves significant interaction with the Foundation's internal teams and requires maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
Core Responsibilities:
Prospect Research:
- Conduct research on potential donors using wealth screening tools and public databases.
- Analyze giving capacity, philanthropic interests, and engagement history.
- Prepare detailed prospect profiles and briefings for fundraisers and leadership.
- Track and update prospect pipeline information in Raiser’s Edge.
High-Potential Donor Identification:
- Flag high-potential donors based on research, giving capacity, and other criteria.
- Provide prospect lists and updates to the Director of Foundation Operations for prioritization.
Data Entry & Integrity:
- Enter and update donor and prospect data in Raiser’s Edge following established protocols.
- Process patient lists, upload them to Raiser’s Edge, and identify records for List Management.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in data entry, including contact details, giving history, and research findings.
- Maintain prospect tracking fields and ensure alignment with fundraising strategies.
- Assist in generating basic reports or queries as needed for fundraising teams.
Donor Acknowledgment:
- Manage the donor acknowledgment process, ensuring timely and accurate recognition for contributions.
- Run letters of acknowledgement and ensure they are sent out promptly.
- Involve development officers only when necessary for specific donor communications.
- Maintain records of donor acknowledgments in Raiser’s Edge.
This position does not provide patient care.

Minimum Qualifications

Name | Description |

Education: | Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English. Bachelor’s Degree preferred, with emphasis in business administration, or equivalent experience. |
Experience: | One to two years’ experience in non-profit prospect research with additional experience in donor database administration preferred |

Computer / Typing: | Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc. |
