The incumbent is required to perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic radiographic procedures of the human body utilizing radiographic principles according to the guidelines recommended by Merrill’s Anatomy and Positioning reference manual. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based upon physical, motor/sensory, psychosocial, and safety appropriate to the age of the patient served. The incumbent must provide optimal patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of neonatal, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and families
The incumbent must competently operate imaging equipment and related machinery, verify, and execute physician’s orders for diagnostic and therapeutic exams while ensuring the proper preparation for such exams, and the safety and wellbeing of patients during procedures. Incumbent will determine the best method of obtaining optimal examinations while ensuring patient safety; will regulate patient flow, and consults with Radiologists to determine contrast quality and makes necessary corrections to improve image quality. Will utilize radiographic principles according to the guidelines recommended by Merrill’s Anatomy and Positioning reference manual and Renown Regional Medical Center Diagnostic Radiographic Department Policy and Procedure Manual.
Other duties include, but are not limited to, billing, supplies stocking, file maintenance, medical charting, informed consent documentation, quality improvement studies, patient history/symptoms acquisition. May be required to assist other modalities within the department of Renown Health System.
