Class fee includes partner. This class helps prepare parents for emergencies that may occur in baby’s first year. Along with car seat safety and basic baby proofing, discussion will include prevention and treatment of common injuries. Students will also learn and practice the skills necessary to perform infant CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), as well as the skills necessary to assist a choking infant. The American Heart Association Family & Friends “Infant CPR and Choking” (birth to one year) course is for those who want to learn Infant CPR but do not need a course completion card in CPR for their job. Grandparents and other caregivers are welcome to attend. Renown Institute for Cancer is teaming up with Cancer Treatment Expert Renie Anderson, who is trained and certified at managing cancer treatment side effects. You can attend this workshop in person at Renown Regional or virtually via Zoom. This workshop teaches mind-body techniques to help reduce anxiety, feel calmer, visualize your treatment in a healing way and enhance healing through activities that will bring you relief. Join us for our free virtual Smoking Cessation 4-week program courtesy of Renown Health. This class is available to all who want to learn the risks of smoking and the benefits of quitting. In addition, participants will learn about their triggers to smoking, ways to cope while quitting, and available products to assist with becoming tobacco-free. This program begins on the 1st Wednesday of each month and will meet every Wednesday for four weeks from 4 to 5 p.m. Upon registering, you will receive instructions on virtually connecting 1 day before the class.
